The Basilica of Saint Mary Mental Health Ministry presents
A Year of Mindful Activities to Cultivate and Strengthen Our Mental Health
by focusing each month on one way to do this.
Journaling can enrich your life. Through the practice of writing to yourself, you can better understand and remember your experiences, become more mindful of the present moment, ruminate, blow off steam, or just play around with words. As a gift, you'll receive a brand-new book of blank pages and prompts to put your thoughts in what could be called your journal, diary, log of the years, letters to self, morning pages, or whatever you choose.
Margaret Hasse's first experience of writing for herself was in a small blue diary with a lock and a key. A life-long journal keeper, Margaret has taught writing in grade schools, senior centers, prisons, and colleges. Many poems published in her seven books of poetry began as notes in her journal. Summoned and The Call of Glacier Park are the names of her latest books.
